Law enforcers conducted searches in the office premises of Kyivteploenergo communal enterprise and in the office premises of contracting enterprises within the framework of criminal proceedings initiated upon the acquisition of budgetary funds during construction and installation work.
“According to materials of the investigation, a private company, commissioned by communal enterprise Kyivteploenergo, during 2019-2020, carried out work on the reconstruction of heating networks, overhaul of emergency sections of heating networks at facilities and residential buildings in the city of Kyiv for a total of Hr 260 million,” the press service of the Kyiv city prosecutor’s office reports.
It is reported that the specified contracting organization did not complete the specified work in full and did it with an overestimation of the cost of work and materials. Also, the execution of subcontracting work and the supply of goods from enterprises with signs of fictitiousness were registered.
“On the basis of a court order, searches were carried out in the office premises of these enterprises, including a communal enterprise, in order to find primary financial documents and record information about the circumstances of the commission of criminal offenses,” the prosecutor’s office reported.
Criminal proceedings are investigated under part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
