Ukraine House Davos, a sideline conference to the World Economic Forum, returns to Switzerland for its second consecutive year on Jan 21-25.

Seeking to boost the country’s profile among the global elite, the conference will focus on investment opportunities in Ukraine. Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko will return to speak at the event, along with many business and political leaders as well as celebrities. The entire schedule is available here with the livestream link. Additionally, the event’s Facebook page also carries the livestream of the event when panelists are speaking.

“Ukraine is… undergoing the most extensive societal and economic transformation in its history,” Alexa Chopivsky, executive director of Ukraine House Davos, said in a statement. “We are delighted to amplify Ukraine’s voice on the global stage and substantial progress made, resulting in a paradigm shift in investors’ perception of Ukraine and its talented people.”

The organizers, Ukrainian Venture Capital and Private Equity Association, Western NIS Enterprise Fund, he Victor Pinchuk Foundation and Horizon Capital hope to build on last year’s venue, which saw 5,000 people in attendance. Much like last year, Ukraine House Davos is hosted on Promenade Street, near the main WEF conference center.

This year’s Ukraine House Davos will retain its tech focus, including panel discussions of artificial intelligence startups, renewable energy and personal data security. Other panels will discuss investments in emerging markets in general and Ukraine in particular; the future of creative industries and how to achieve socially responsible investment in Ukraine.

Much like last year’s female entrepreneur power hour, the 2019 conference featured three women business leaders telling their stories during Monday’s opening events. Ukraine House Davos’s organizing committee is all-female, according to its website.

Besides the panel discussions, the National Investment Council of Ukraine is holding a closed-door, high-level meeting at the venue. Ukraine House Davos will also feature fireside chats with BBC Anchor Andrew Neil, Klitschko and his brother, Volodymyr Klitschko, and author and historian Timothy Snyder.

Each day of the conference will start with a wellness class run by yoga instructor Boho Beautiful and end with a party. The event will be bookended by appearances by Haitian superstar Wyclef Jean and Ukrainian fashion designer Yuliya Magdych.

The panels are sponsored by partner companies and organizations, including BHFF, EBS, Effective Investments, First Generation Capital Inc, Hillmont Partners, ICU, IT Ukraine Association, TA Ventures, TIU Canada and Ufuture.

The Atlantic Council, the Aspen Institute and the Ukrainian World Congress are helping support the conference, along with UkraineInvest and the National Investment Council of Ukraine.
