You're reading: Lutsenko, German ambassador to Ukraine discuss bilateral cooperation in criminal matters

Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko and Ambassador of Germany to Ukraine Ernst Reichel have discussed the issues of bilateral cooperation in criminal proceedings.

According to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO), Lutsenko during the meeting outlined the main systemic changes that have already taken place in the PGO and told about future plans as for reforming the authority.

“Underlining the priority of work in fight against corruption, the prosecutor general noted the overcoming of this shameful phenomenon in PGO agencies will meet public expectations and help improve the level of trust in law enforcement agencies,” the report says.

In addition, Lutsenko told about the further intent of attracting people from outside the system to PGO authorities.

The parties also discussed some urgent issues of bilateral cooperation during criminal proceedings.
