Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko believes that Ukraine has the lowest level of anti-Semitism throughout eastern and central Europe.

“I am proud that Ukraine has the lowest level of anti-Semitism throughout Eastern and Central Europe, and I think in Europe as a whole,” he told reporters at the Kyiv Jewish Forum in Kyiv on Monday.

According to the Prosecutor General, there have been no visible criminal incidents on the basis of anti-Semitism in Ukraine in recent years.

Lutsenko believes that this is the merit of law enforcement officers who carry out prevention or quickly disclose such crimes.

At the same time, the Prosecutor General noted that at the moment the main challenge is the manifestations of right-wing extremism, which is seen throughout Europe and in Ukraine. ”

“All paramilitary formations must be brought into the framework of the law and not allow any anti-national manifestations,” he said.
