It is expedient for Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to transfer all the accounts of his Roshen Corporation to nationalized PrivatBank (Dnipro) to reduce the concern of depositors of this largest financial institution in the country, leader of the Radical Party Oleh Lyashko said.

“Transfer all Roshen accounts to PrivatBank,” he said.

According to the leader of the parliamentary faction, this step will be more effective than statements on television.

In addition, Lyashko proposed to dismiss Head of the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) Valeriya Gontareva because her activities led to the nationalization of PrivatBank, taxpayers’ costs in the amount of about Hr 150 billion.

Roshen Corporation, one of the largest confectionery producers in Ukraine, includes confectionery factories in Kyiv, Mariupol (Donetsk region), Kremenchuk (Poltava region) and Vinnytsia, the dairy producer Bershadmoloko, and Litinskplemzavod (both based in Vinnytsia region). It also runs confectionary facilities in Klaipeda (Lithuania), Lipetsk ( Russia), and Bonbonetti Choco (Hungary).
