President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in the Ukrainian House on Nov. 13 evening held a private meeting with part of the hierarchs of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate.
Advisor to the president of Ukraine, Director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies Rostyslav Pavlenko in the interview with the Priamy TV channel on Nov. 13 evening did not mention the number of UOC (MP) hierarchs who attended the meeting, but noted that “there were those who plan to participate in the council for the creation of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.”
“At the meeting, the hierarchs also talked about the pressure exerted on them [from the leaders of the UOC-MP],” he said.
Pavlenko did not name a possible date of the council, but noted that “there is not much time left for it.”
