We’re sure that our readers are as impressed as we are by the talent and astute vision of our cartoonist Serhiy Kolyada. So we thought you’d like the chance to know more about this very original artist and commentator in his own indomitable way on current affairs.
We asked him for a bio-line, and this is what he replied in his modest manner:
Serhiy Kolyada was born in Odesa in 1972. In 1973 moved with parents to Berdyansk where he spent his childhood and adolescence. Got higher education at Zaporizhzhya and Berdyansk Universities. In 1997 came to Kyiv and still lives and works there. Took part in different contemporary art shows and fairs and worked at animation studios. Worked as a book – illustrator and cartoonist in different magazines and papers.
