Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel says that talks to settle the situation in Donbas in the Normandy Four format (Ukraine, Germany, France, the Russian Federation) have been successful and should continue.
“I think this format has justified itself … under these extremely difficult conditions, and I think it should be continued,” she said at a joint briefing with President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in Berlin on Friday when answering a question whether the work in the Normandy format will continue.
