The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is already working on organizing the visit of newly elected President of Moldova Maia Sandu to Ukraine, said Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

“President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky invited President-elect of Moldova Maia Sandu to visit Ukraine, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is already working on organizing this visit,” Kuleba said on the air of the “Snidanok with 1 + 1” program, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports on Facebook.

The minister also added that the newly-elected President of Moldova held the first two telephone conversations with the leaders of Ukraine and Romania, which in itself is significant.

As reported, on November 16, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated former Prime Minister of Moldova, chairman of the opposition Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) Maia Sandu on winning the presidential elections in Moldova. He added that he congratulated Sanda during the telephone conversation and invited her to visit Kyiv.
