You're reading: Militants shell Ukrainian army positions near Mariupol

The militants have markedly reduced the number of shelling on all directions on Nov. 20, but they did not stop the use of weapons banned by the Minsk Agreements, the Ukrainian military press center said.

The militants fired tank, infantry fighting vehicle weapons and 82mm mortars at Krasnohorivka on the Mariupol direction. Grenade launchers and small arms were fired at Novotroyitske and Vodiane, the press center said in a report on the situation as of 6 p.m. on Nov. 20 published on its Facebook page.

The militants fired mortars and grenade launchers at Luhanske on the Donetsk direction, Makarove – on the Luhansk direction, the report says.

“In all, eight shelling on our positions have been recorded,” the press center said.
