The importance of acceleration of granting a visa free regime to Ukraine, completing the ratification of the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement has been noted by chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy at a meeting with Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli.

Parubiy had a meeting with Mingarelli, head of Support Group for Ukraine at European Commission Peter Wagner and an EC expert Gregor Wiranto, the press service of the parliament said on Nov. 10.

“Taking into consideration the technical difficulties associated with the promotion of this solution, not concerned with Ukraine, we do hope for the political will in solving this issue during a meeting of the European Parliament in the coming week,” the Rada chairman said.

In addition, he also stressed the importance of the decision concerning the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement.

Parubiy thanked the European Union for the adopted decision to extend sanctions against the Russian Federation as “the Ukrainian army and the sanctions of the European civilized world is the only factor restraining aggression.”

In his turn, Mingarelli noted the readiness of the European MPs “to support these solutions and they are mobilized in full.” “During the next week we will give an answer to these questions, he said, “I am sure that the November 23 Summit will give a corresponding boost.”
