The Ukraine-EU summit will be held on July 9, it will discuss the fight against corruption, the macro-financial assistance of the European Union to Ukraine and the implementation of the Minsk agreements, Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli has said.

The Council of the Ukraine-EU Association will be held in December, but before this, on July 9, the Ukraine-EU summit will be held, and we already know several issues that should be raised in the field of reforms, he said at a meeting with the European Business Association in Kyiv on May 14.

The diplomat recalled that the Ukrainian side, in particular, would like to join the European Customs Union, the Energy Union and the single digital market.

Mingarelli said that the macro-financial aid package of the EU and the European Investment Plan would also be discussed.

In addition, there are traditional two issues that we are discussing: the reform process (the EU, for its part, is focused on combating corruption and the rule of law) and implementation, or rather the lack of implementation of Minsk agreements, the ambassador said.

As reported, during a visit to Germany, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and European Council President Donald Tusk had agreed to hold the 20th Ukraine-European Union summit in Brussels in the summer of 2018.
