The investigation established and questioned 17 witnesses in the case of the attack on street activist Serhiy Sternenko in Odesa and the murder of his attacker.
Odesa region’s Main Directorate of the National Police Dmytro Holovin says Sternenko is both a witness and victim of the attack.
There are also people whom the investigation intends to find and question on this case.
“More than 15 expert examinations have been ordered, including a comprehensive one, which will result in an answer to all the questions that might surprise you,” Holovin said.
In addition, he answered the question regarding the information available in the media about the pressure exerted on him in connection with this case.
“If I am pressured, I will tell the media,” he said.
As earlier reported, Odesa police launched criminal proceedings under Part 1, Article 15, Part 1, Article 115 (attempted murder) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine due to an attempt on Sternenko, a street activists and former head of the Right Sector branch in Odesa.
