MOSCOW – The Moscow Lefortovo Court on Nov. 28 prolonged the arrest of Ukrainian journalist Roman Sushchenko, who is charged with espionage in Russia, until late January.
“Grant the investigator’s request, prolong the arrest of accused Sushchenko until January 30, 2017,” Justice Anna Zhurman said.
The case was tried behind closed doors at the request of the prosecutor, who had found that the publication of the case materials may result in the disclosure of a state secret.
