You're reading: MP Herasymov refutes reports about Poroshenko’s business in Russia

Rumors about Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko’s alleged business in Russia, as well as other untrue information stated in a letter of a group of people’s deputies, are a dirty technology by some of its signatories, the leader of the Bloc of Petro Poroshenko faction in parliament, Artur Herasymov, has said.

According to the party’s press service, he said that the Sevastopol Marine Plant had been confiscated and nationalized by invaders, the Lipetsk confectionery factory had also been closed for a long time and does not work.

“Allegations that Petro Poroshenko allegedly has other businesses in Russia are groundless and untrue,” Herasymov said.

The politician also did not rule out that these accusations are “an attempt to divert attention from secret trips of Tymoshenko’s emissaries to Moscow, from her mysterious but very eloquent absence in the Rada” during the voting on the law for Russia’s recognition as an aggressor, etc.

“We are in favor of a civilized polemic between pro-government and opposition forces, a discussion on program and strategic issues. At the same time, we urge everyone to refrain from disseminating untrue information,” Herasymov said.
