The Pechersky District Court of Kyiv has closed the case concerning Radical Party MP Oleh Liashko’s involvement in business activities, member of the Radical Party faction Ihor Mosiychuk reported.

“The case of Oleh Liashko’s so-called moonlighting has been closed by the court! We proved that this case was completely trumped up by corrupt NAPC (the National Agency on Corruption Prevention) at the order of the authorities. We will now demand the launch of criminal proceedings against those who did it,” Mosiychuk wrote on his Facebook page on Friday.

As reported, on June 20, Ukraine’s National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) summoned Radical Party parliament faction head Oleh Liashko asking him to explain a possible administrative offense that may nvolve corruption.

NACP said Liashko must explain why he is the head of a company while working as a Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine deputy.

Liashko, for his part, said that he was a founder of the Svoboda newspaper, but says that this doesn’t violate the law.
