Member of the Holos faction in Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada Roman Lozinsky has proposed banning journalists of three sanctioned television channels, 112 Ukraine, NewsOne, and ZIK, from the parliament.

“The overwhelming majority of Ukrainian parliamentarians with pro-Ukrainian positions insist that so-called journalists from pro-Russian television channels mustn’t work in the Ukrainian parliament,” Lozinsky said at a parliamentary session on Feb. 5.

Although these TV channels have been sanctioned, their journalists and cameramen continue working in parliament, including on the third floor, where the parliamentary press center is currently located, he said.

On February 2, Zelensky enforced a decision by the National Security and Defense Council effectively blocking the operation of the television channels 112, NewsOne, and ZIK, which are believed to be associated with Viktor Medvedchuk, one of the leaders of the Opposition Platform – For Life party.
