The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) on August 17 raided the National Commission for Energy, Housing and Utilities Services Regulation (NCER), NCER Head Dmytro Vovk has told Interfax-Ukraine.

“I have learnt about the raid being at a meeting at the Cabinet [of Ministers]. When I arrived to the site, people in Cammies without distinguishing badges told me that I cannot enter [the building]. I presented the ID of the commission head. They did not allow me to get to my place of work, even to the premises. The commission’s employees stuck in the office. There was no contact with some of them. Maybe they seized phones. My lawyers and the lawyers of the employees are not permitted to enter the building,” he said.

Vovk said that the meeting of the NCER scheduled for August 17 was broken up. The operations of the regulator were blocked.

As reported, the NABU is suspecting NCER members in collusion in favor of electricity generating companies when they approved the Rotterdam+ formula.
