You're reading: NABU: Ukraine’s Sea Ports Authority being searched

Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), together with the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), are conducting searches in the premises of the State Enterprise Ukraine’s Sea Ports Authority (USPA), its branches and at the place of residence of officials of the AMPU in Kyiv, Odesa and Odesa region.

“Investigative actions have been authorized. They are carried out as part of the investigation of possible abuses of the USPA officials in the procurement of construction services for marine infrastructure, in particular, the provision of unlawful preferences for a foreign company,” the NABU said on Facebook.

The preliminary legal qualification of the case is pursuant to Part 2 of Article 364 (abuse of power or official position) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The NABU detectives have been investigating these facts since the spring of 2019 based on SBU materials.
