The Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce plans to delay its decision on the transit dispute between Russian gas monopoly Gazprom and Ukraine’s national joint-stock company Naftogaz Ukrainy, Naftogaz legal director Yaroslav Tekliuk has said.

“This case is nearing completion. All oral arguments were made at the end of last year, and now the court is preparing its verdict, which should be handed down before the end of June. However, during a telephone conference with our advisor the court said it planned to consult the registry of the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce to delay the final ruling. It’s difficult to say how long the delay will be, but I think several months,” Tekliuk said in an interview with the Kyiv-based Yurydychna Gazeta newspaper, the text of which Naftogaz published on its website on June 20.
