You're reading: National Police receive over 16,000 complaints of electoral legislation violations

Since the beginning of the election campaign, the National Police of Ukraine have received 16,203 statements and reports on violations of electoral legislation, the press service of the National Police reports.

“In the period from Sept. 5 to Nov. 14, 2020, in general, the territorial bodies of the National Police received 16,203 applications and reports on violations of electoral legislation. In total, the police have drawn up 2,397 protocols on committing administrative offenses related to violation of electoral legislation,” the report says.

Thus, the unified register of pre-trial investigations contains information on 1,093 criminal proceedings, including 687 opened on the facts of violation of electoral legislation, 406 related to the electoral process.

As reported, on Nov. 15, the second round of elections of deputies and heads of village, town, and city councils in 21 regions of Ukraine will take place.

The repeated voting in mayoral elections will take place in seven cities: Sumy, Odesa, Kherson, Lutsk (Volyn region), Kramatorsk (Donetsk region), Kamyanets-Podilsky (Khmelnytsky region) and Ukrainka (Kyiv region).
