You're reading: NATO Military Committee’s chair arrives in Ukraine

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel-General Ruslan Khomchak and Chairman of the NATO Military Committee, Air Chief Marshal Sir Stuart Peach, met at the Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi National Army Academy.

“During the visit, the parties discussed the situation in the area of the Joint Force Operation and the general security situation around Ukraine. They also discussed the reform of the Armed Forces and the transformation of the training system in the framework of the NATO approaches. In turn, the Chairman of the NATO Military Committee assured the Ukrainian side of further support for Ukraine by the North Atlantic Alliance,” the press service of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on the Facebook page.

At the end of the meeting, Khomchak thanked Peach for a constructive conversation, an open exchange of views and the Alliance’s support for Ukraine.

“Your visit is a convincing evidence of the attention that the Alliance’s leadership and you personally to the development of our special and, without exaggeration, strategic partnership. I would like to note with satisfaction that the cooperation between the Armed Forces of Ukraine and NATO and Allies is characterized by high dynamics and continues to gain momentum,” Khomchak said.
