You're reading: NBU declares Investbank insolvent

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) on Dec. 15 declared PJSC Investbank insolvent, since after assigning it to the category of problem the shareholders did not take sufficient measures to bring the size of charter capital in accordance with the law requirements.

“In this regard, the charter capital of Investbank on Dec. 15 did not meet the legal requirements regarding the minimum size of charter capital of Hr 120 million, which the banks were obliged to provide by June 17,” the NBU said.

The central bank said 98 percent of Investbank depositors will get their deposits in full: they do not exceed individuals’ deposits of Hr 200,000 guaranteed by the Individuals’ Deposit Guarantee Fund.

As of June 7, the major owners of Investbank were Ukrainian citizens Oleksiy Kotkovsky, Oleksandr Nezvynsky, Tamara Nezvynska, and Bab-Invest LLC.
