You're reading: NBU improves forecast for reserves as of end of 2016 to $17.5 billion

The National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) predicts the increase in the country’s international reserves by the end of this year to $17.5 billion instead of the previously projected $17.2 billion, according to a press release of the central bank.

In addition, the National Bank downgraded the forecast for reserves by the end of 2017 to $23.1 billion from the previously projected $23.5 billion, while by the end of 2018 the reserves could grow to $27.8 billion (the previous forecast is $26.4 billion).
