The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has refused entry to Ukraine for almost 800 potential illegal migrants, the press office of the State Border Guard Service has reported.

“Yesterday alone, border guards from the Kyiv separate checkpoint and the Boryspil checkpoint did not let six potential illegal migrants through the border,” the agency said in a press release on March 20.

Foreigners, six citizens of Myanmar, arrived from Qatar at night. While passing border control procedures, they could not confirm the purpose of their trip to Ukraine. Therefore, under Article 8, Clause 4 (non-confirmation of the purpose of the planned stay) of the law of Ukraine on border control, they were refused passage across the border.

The foreigners were returned to Qatar.
