Maksym Nefyodov, the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, who won the competition for the head of the State Customs Service, considers a full launch of the service in 2,5 months to be realistic.

“The start, that is, transferring at least 30 percent of the staff is realistic in about 2,5 months,” Nefyodov told the Interfax-Ukraine news agency on June 25 evening.

There are no candidates for deputy positions yet, he added.

According to Nefyodov, a legal entity of a new department should be registered before the service starts, and the Cabinet must make a number of decisions regarding the new structure.
