You're reading: New cycle of Ukrainian instructors’ training by Latvian military specialists starts in Lviv region

On the basis of the 184th on the basis of the International Centre for Peacemaking and Security of the National Academy of the Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny (Lviv region), the seventh training course for Ukrainian instructors under the leadership of the Latvian Armed Forces have started as part of the military drills of the United Multinational Training Group – Ukraine (JMTG-U).

“The Ukrainian military has adopted all the best practices of the European armies and is able to apply the knowledge gained in practice. Our cooperation will be fruitful and effective,” Lieutenant Colonel Volodymyr Bezborodov, deputy head of the 184th Training Center for Moral and Psychological Support, said, press-service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said on August 14.

Bezborodov said that the previous six cycles showed an excellent result – more than 150 Ukrainian instructors have been successfully trained.

“Theoretical and practical lessons are already beginning today, which will be carried out by experienced instructors from the Armed Forces of Latvia. The drills will last for ten days. After the completion of the courses, the servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to train the cadets of the 184th Training Center at a qualitatively new level. Besides, they will receive certificates which will attest to the complete assimilation of new knowledge and skills, which they were handed over by their Latvian counterparts,” the report says.
