The leaders of the Normandy Four countries (Ukraine, Germany, France, Russia) will consider ways to speed up the implementation of the Minsk agreements on resolving the situation in eastern Ukraine in the coming months and welcome the resumption of the ceasefire regime on March 30, 2018 on the contact line in Donbas.

“The leaders of the Normandy format countries reaffirm their commitment to implement the Minsk agreements in all dimensions (security, political, humanitarian and socio-economic). They will consider possible ways to accelerate the implementation of the agreements in the coming months,” a message, posted on the presidential website on March 29, reads.

Referring to the joint statement of the leaders of the Normandy Four countries, the message says that they welcome the agreement on the resumption of the ceasefire regime on March 26, in connection with the Easter holidays, reached by the Trilateral Contact Group on March 26, 2018.

“In this regard, they praised the agreement reached by the Trilateral Contact Group on March 26 to renew the ceasefire regime on Easter holidays starting from March 30. The leaders emphasized the importance of its strict observance and ensuring effective monitoring and verification by the OSCE SMM,” the message reads.

Against the backdrop of successful liberation of about 300 people on December 27, 2017, they called for greater effort to release the rest according to the formula “all for all.”
