The National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) and the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) will soon release information about the accounts of businessman Dmytro Firtash blocked under the sanctions and the funds for them, NSDC Secretary Oleksiy Danilov said.

“As for Mr. Firtash, I think that his life in Vienna has not changed. He lived there in a large estate, so he probably lives. Another thing is that those property rights, those accounts, and the business that he had are currently blocked. Blocked is the ability to use it, sell, transfer to third parties, and those accounts that are in his name in Ukraine are also blocked,” Danilov told journalists in Kyiv on July 12.

At the same time, he said the agreements with the head of the National Bank of Ukraine, “that we will soon come out with information on how many accounts have been blocked for each decision of the NSDC, how much money is there.” we will make such a draft for each decision,” Danilov said.

Answering a clarifying question of whether this concerns the Inter television channel, the NSDC secretary said it is impossible to stop the industries affiliated with Firtash, it is about the impossibility of disposing of assets, the impossibility of receiving dividends.

“As far as the Inter television channel is concerned, this is a separate situation. We will figure out how many shares he has there, whether there are any at all, because it may happen that he allegedly owns, and when you look at the originals of documents, it may turn out that Firtash is not there and maybe there is some other company, for example, from Cyprus or from some other offshore zone,” Danilov said.
