The number of Russian citizens, who were barred from entering Ukraine and sent back to Minsk Airport, dipped 75 percent in the past 24 hours, Belarusian State Border Committee spokesman Anton Bychkovsky told Interfax.

“Nine people have returned as of 10 a.m. today,” Bychkovsky said, adding that the number stood at 38 the day before.

“It’s a downward trend,” the spokesman said.

“There has been no change in passenger traffic in that direction,” he added.

In all, 94 Russians have returned from Ukrainian airports to Minsk over the week, Bychkovsky said.

There have been no massive returns of Russian citizens to Belarus from the motor and rail checkpoints, he said.
