Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko will address the Munich conference delivering a speech about European security. The active preparations for the meeting of foreign ministers of the so-called Normandy Four are underway, Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Kostiantyn Yeliseyev has said.

“The president of Ukraine will take part in the Munich Security Conference, and the president will have the opportunity to deliver a separate speech on European security,” he said on Inter TV channel on Friday evening.

Yeliseyev said that the first meeting of the Normandy Four in the past many months at the level of foreign ministers, which will be held during the Munich conference, will be important.

“Now the active preparations for this meeting are underway. Of course, this is not a one-stage process. After this meeting there will also be talks at the level of diplomatic advisers and then at other levels,” he said.

At the same time, the deputy head of the Presidential Administration said that a large number of multilateral and bilateral events will take place at the forum’s fields with the participation of the president.

“There will be meetings with representatives of the American establishment, meetings with the presidents of some EU member states and representatives of other countries,” he added.

According to Yeliseyev, during the conference a lot of time will be put into the implementation of the Minsk agreements.
