Moscow’s Lefortovo District Court sanctioned the arrest in absentia of Amina Okuyeva, a volunteer for the special operation in Donbas who had been charged with calls for terrorism in Russia.

“A restrictive measure in the form of arrest was imposed on Aminat Mustafinova [Amina Okuyeva] for two months from the date of her extradition to Russia,” the court’s spokeswoman Yekaterina Krasnova told Interfax on November 21.

An informed source said that the woman was already on international wanted lists at the moment of her arrest in absentia.

Okuyeva was killed and her husband Adam Osmayev sustained a leg injury when their car was attacked by unidentified gunmen near a railroad crossing in the village of Hlevakha in Kyiv region on the evening of October 30. The Kyiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office initiated criminal proceedings on preliminary charges of contract killing.
