You're reading: One more body found under Odesa college obstructions

As of 7:00 p.m. of Dec. 11, the death toll from the fire in the building of the Odesa College of Economics, Law and Hotel and Restaurant Business has increased to 13 people, the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reports.

“In total, 13 people died as a result of the fire: at 6:25 p.m. on Dec. 11, a body of one person revealed when removing the debris,” reads a report.

According to the report, 8 of 30 injured during the emergency still are in the hospital.

“Emergency works continue,” reads the report. However, the report does not precise the number of people whose fate is still unknown.

On the evening of Dec. 10, the press service of the National Police, referring to its first Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Serhiy Yarovy, reported that the fate of four people who were reported missing after the fire at the Odesa college’s building remained unknown.

“As of now, the tragedy has claimed the lives of 12 people. The location of 4 people is still unknown, 5 people have not been identified yet,” the press service of the National Police of Ukraine said, citing Yarovy.
