One Ukrainian soldier was wounded in action on Sept. 20 in eastern Ukraine, speaker for the Defense Ministry Oleksandr Motuzianyk has said.
“No Ukrainian soldiers were killed in hostilities in the past day, Sept. 20. But one soldier was wounded in action. It happened in the town of Avdiyivka while the enemy was shelling,” he said at a briefing in Kyiv on Sept. 21.
He also updated information for Sept. 19, when one Ukrainian soldier was wounded during an attack on the village of Pisky near the ruined Donetsk airport in Donetsk region.
He also reported that there was no violation of the ceasefire in Luhansk region.
There were only 14 attacks on Ukrainian troops in the Donetsk sector on Sept. 20. The Russia-backed separatists used armored equipment and light weapons.
The Mariupol sector saw only five attacks, and Kyiv forces were forced to fire back, Motuzianyk said.
