Russia-backed separatists have opened fire on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Donbas 20 times over the past 24 hours, wounding one Ukrainian soldier, the press center of the headquarters of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) has reported.

“Russia-led forces opened fire on the positions of our troops 20 times. Separatists did not use armaments proscribed by the Minsk agreements. One serviceman of the Joint Forces was injured during combat operations in the past day,” the JFO HQ said in a report on its Facebook page on October 30.

The report notes that the number of attacks has not increased compared with the previous day, but the enemy began to use small arms more intensively, in particular, large-caliber arms.

Russia-backed separatists fired at Ukrainian positions near Stanytsia Luhanska, Verkhniotoretske, Avdiyivka, Pisky, Krasnohorivka, Novotroitske, Novomykhailivka, Chermalyk, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Vodiane, and Lebedynske.

Since the beginning of October 30, Russia-backed separatists have fired from small arms at the positions of Ukrainian troops in the area of Pavlopil. No casualties among Ukrainian soldiers were recorded.

According to Ukrainian intelligence, one separatist was killed and two were wounded.
