In Chornomorsk (Odesa region), the precinct election commission discovered the absence of a package with ballot papers in support of the Trust Deeds political party of Odesa Mayor Hennadiy Trukhanov, according to the OPORA civic network.
“Late in the evening on Oct. 26, members of the precinct election commission No. 511026 (Chornomorsk, Odesa region), while submitting electoral documentation to the city territorial election commission, discovered the absence of a package with ballots in support of the Trust Deeds political party,” the OPORA civic network said.
OPORA said that the precinct election commission’s members could not explain where the package with ballots was, noting that it was not at the polling station either.
“After that, the representative of the Trust Deeds political party in Chornomorsk city precinct election commission called the police to the place,” the civic network said.
At the same time, later the territorial election commission, after consulting, considered a clarification that these ballots were mistakenly packed together with ballots for another party. After that, the commission decided to leave the documentation for the recount of all ballots. The representative of Trust Deeds filed a statement to the police.
