The number of ceasefire violations in Donbas has increased by a third over the past week, the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission’s Principal Deputy Chief Monitor, Alexander Hug, said at a briefing in Kyiv on February 8.

Violence continued in eastern Ukraine over the week, and the monitors observed a 30 percent rise in the number of ceasefire violations, Hug said.

Most of the 3,200 incidents occurred in the Yasynuvata – Avdiyivka – Donetsk Airport triangle, he said.
