ZOLOTE – The deputy chief of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine, Mark Etherington, has visited the site of disengagement near the Donbas village of Zolote.

The SMM welcomes the decision to carry out disengagement in Zolote. “The process is under way and the SMM will continue watching it using patrols and drones,” Etherington told journalists at the site.

Disengagement in Zolote and Petrivske was agreed on at a Trilateral Contact Group meeting in Minsk on Oct. 1. The process is to be carried out equally by both sides within one kilometer from the dividing line.
