President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Michele Nicoletti, has called on the Ukrainian authorities to urgently investigate the murder of journalist Arkady Babchenko.
“Authorities must promptly investigate this murder and take steps to guarantee safety of journalists,” Nocoletti wrote on Twitter on Wednesday.
He stressed that attacks on journalists are “a serious violation of media freedom.”
