You're reading: Parliamentary committee deems motivated PGO motion to call MP Bakulin to account

The Verkhovna Rada committee on rules of procedure has recognized as motivated and justified a motion from Ukraine’s prosecutor general on consent to bring Opposition Bloc MP Yevhen Bakulin to justice.

According to an Interfax-Ukraine reporter, committee members made a respective decision at a meeting on Monday.

In addition, the committee recognized as lawful the motions from the prosecutor general on the parliament’s consent to Bakulin’s detention and arrest and took into account the justifications of the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Under respective motions, the committee approved the respective conclusions and sent them to the parliament’s leadership.
