Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andriy Parubiy said the illegitimate poll conducted in the occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, which was orchestrated by Russia, is evidence of Russia’s pulling out of the previously reached agreements.

“I think that with this event, Russia has demonstrated it is not going to fulfill any agreements. This is an opening move by Russia to disrupt any peaceful agreements and a demonstration of how it is unilaterally pulling out of the peace talks, which were supposed to solve the issue of the occupied territories by diplomatic means,” Parubiy told reporters in Vilnius on November 12.

When asked whether the Verkhovna Rada will pass any resolution on the so-called elections, the Ukrainian parliament’s speaker said, “This is a two-bit event not worthy of passing any resolution.”
