Police investigators in Donetsk region under the supervision of prosecutors of the Volnovakha Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) are conducting a pretrial investigation under the “terrorist act” article based on the shelling of a Ukrainian Armed Forces truck near Hranytne that killed one soldier and wounded another.

Donetsk region’s prosecutor’s office said the case is being investigated under Part 3 of Article 258 of Ukraine’s Criminal Code.

“A 21-year old senior gunner died, and a 32-year old operator of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) received shrapnel wounds as a result of the shelling,” the PGO’s press service said.

As reported, on July 10, the press service of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) said one solider had died and another wounded after a rocket propelled anti-tank grenade hit a transport vehicle. The incident happened near the place where the car of newly appointed Donetsk Regional State Administration chief Pavlo Kyrylenko was located. Kyrylenko was unharmed.
