The Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office has initiated criminal proceedings on charges of an infringement on territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine on the grounds of displaying a map of Ukraine without Crimea and Donbas in the city of Brovary in Kyiv region.

“An image lacking three constituent entities of Ukraine’s sovereign territory, namely the Donetsk and Luhansk regions and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, was displayed on the scene built for the celebration of the Independence Day of Ukraine in the city of Brovary on August 23,” the press service for the Ukrainian Prosecutor General’s Office said on August 28.

On these grounds, the Brovary Prosecutor’s Office is conducting a pre-trial inquiry as part of criminal proceedings on charges of an infringement on territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine under Part 1 of Article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
