Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said that the Verkhovna Rada committee for tax policy is to draw up a new bill on the Financial Intelligence Service (FIS) within one month.

“The committee within one month will draw up a new bill on Financial Intelligence Service. We will liquidate economic divisions of the SBU, Interior Ministry and State Fiscal Service. This is the fight that we must win,” he told reporters on the sidelines of the 14th annual YES conference in Kyiv on Saturday.

The prime minister said that he intends to discuss the bill with representatives of business.

Ukrainian Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk urged to take the bill submitted to the government as a basis. It was drawn up by the Finance Ministry and approved by the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

“I will try to convince the president and prime minister to submit the bill drawn up by the Finance Ministry jointly with other ministries in the Cabinet of Ministers and approved by the IMF to the Verkhovna Rada. This would allow us to improve investment climate in the country in the near term,” he told reporters at the 14th annual YES conference in Kyiv on Saturday.
