Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has said that Ukraine backs the consideration of the withdrawal of Russian armed forces from Transdniestria by the United Nations General Assembly and counts on support of the initiative to send the peacekeeper mission to Donbas by Moldova.
The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine reported on Friday that Groysman met Prime Minister of Moldova Pavel Filip in Odesa. The prime ministers discussed cooperation between Ukraine and Moldova.
“Kyiv is interested in political stability in Moldova. It supports the principles of territorial integrity of the neighbor state. It believes that it is appropriate to include the issue of the withdrawal of Russian armed forces from Transdniestria to the agenda of the UN General Assembly,” the press service said, citing the Ukrainian premier.
Groysman said that Ukraine counts on support of its initiative to send UN peacekeepers to Donbas by Moldova.
