You're reading: Police deploy extra forces in Zolote town during disengagement of forces

During the disengagement of forces and hardware in Zolote town of Luhansk region, extra police forces will provide security and public order, said deputy chief of the Ukrainian National Police Vadym Troyan.

“All these enhanced measures are taken with one goal: peace and security of the Ukrainian citizens,” he said.

For his part, chief of the National Police of Luhansk region Serhiy Kolesnyk said police had been prepared for a day-and-night response to any appeals of the citizens.

“We are ready to immediately respond to any appeals or reports from the residents day and night,” he said.

According to Troyan, a total of 36 patrol officers of special assignment from Kirovohrad and Luhansk regions were involved for patrolling.

He said that that a police station, where a local police officer is serving, functions to a full extent on the territory of Zolote and Katerynivka in the Popasniansky district of the Luhansk region.
