You're reading: Police officers in Kyiv to take free English courses

British Ambassador to Ukraine Judith Gough said to Interfax on Nov. 22,  that more than 600 police officers in Kyiv would take free English language courses as the part of the “English for Patrol Police” project organized by the British Council Ukraine and U.S embassy in Ukraine.

” Fourteen British Council teachers will take part in the seven-month English language course for Kyiv patrol police officers,” said  Gough.

U.S Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch added this program will help the police in their everyday work and will improve Ukraine’s image abroad.

Police officers will study English during their nonworking hours.

The English courses for police were sponsored by the British Council Ukraine and the U.S embassy.
