The suspect in the murder of Ukrainian journalist Pavlo Sheremet has refused to undergo a forensic psychological examination using a polygraph for the second time, the press service for the National Police of Ukraine has said.

“At first, suspect Yulia Kuzmenko gave her tentative consent to undergo an expert examination, but on February 26, refused to be interviewed using a polygraph because she wished that the lawyer she determined be present during it, [and he] was busy on February 25-26. On March 4, Yulia Kuzmenko and her lawyer visited the experts, but the suspect repeatedly refused to undergo the test due to her lack of trust in the accredited state experts, who were supposed to interview her. At the same time, she said she does not refuse to undergo the test ‘in any other facility with the involvement of independent international experts,'” the police said on its website on March 6.
