You're reading: Police says it makes significant progress in investigation of Voronenkov’s murder

The National Police of Ukraine has significantly advanced in the investigation of the murder of former State Duma deputy Denis Voronenkov, the head of the National Police in Kyiv, Andriy Kryshchenko, said on Channel 5.

“The investigation is being carried out by the city prosecutor’s office, the police of Kyiv are also participating. I can not provide such information, which can be made public. The investigation is underway, we are holding investigatory activities, identifying persons, accomplices involved,” he said.

“We have made significant progress in establishing the events that preceded the murder, the motives, persons, who were involved one way or another, witnesses have been found.”

As reported, ex-State Duma deputy Denis Voronenkov was killed in the Kyiv downtown on March 23. The murderer was wounded by the security guard of the former deputy and later died in the hospital.
