A relative majority of Ukrainian residents (39%) polled by the GfK Ukraine company in May on the orders from the World Policy Institute believe there is no alternative to Ukraine’s European integration.
Twenty-two percent of respondents said ‘No’ to the question asking if Ukraine’s integration with Europe was unavoidable. “Ukraine may go back on the European integration at any moment,” they said. In the opinion of 28%, there is no integration between Ukraine and Europe at all.
Most respondents (52%) do not believe that the neutral status of Ukraine can protect them from a Russian aggression, 35% maintain the opposite, and 12% are undecided.
A total of 1,000 respondents were polled on the phone on May 17-24. The respondents represented the Ukrainian population by gender, age, type of populated locality and region of residence.
